An ideal way to start your child’s journey with music and instrumental play. These classes lay the foundations vital for a child’s musical development with many of our attendees progressing into our instrumental tuition lessons.
Individual sessions may also appeal to some families who want to provide their child with a higher level of detail within their music class.
Our popular Sibling Sessions at the Clubhouse provide a perfect opportunity for bonding between family members through music-inspired activities.
These 45 minute classes are tailored to meet the needs of each child combined with a strong emphasis on collaborative and cooperative work between the siblings.
Large groups can be overwhelming for some children, which is why we introduced our Mini Music sessions. These are perfect for families who would like to engage with musical development experiences in a smaller, more intimate setting.
With a maximum of seven children in the group, these classes encourage social-interactions and cooperative play through music with other familiar children at their own pace.
At Music and ME Club, children receive creative, specialised music classes in Carshalton and various venues in and around Surrey and London. Our classes offer exciting opportunities for accelerated development because each child is emotionally and educationally encouraged through the love of music.
We are proud of the fantastic results we have achieved with our kids and we warmly invite you to join in with our classes and learn how the magic of music can help you and your little ones. We welcome children and parents to our usual group classes and instrumental lessons as well as our new Music With Therapy sessions and Mini Music Classes.
The clubhouse is a fun, safe space that gives parents peace of mind while your child enjoys themselves at the music club. Children’s music classes can be delivered on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, which we have kept to a low, maximum number ensuring that the instructor can give your child the attention and specialised support they need. We are happy for you to form a group yourself or we can organise you into an existing session.

Music and ME Club is fully Covid secure and sessions will continue in this way through 2021.
Music and ME classes are led by a qualified instructor and combine live music and voice with a range of broader musical experiences. You will regularly see live instruments being played including the guitar, piano and ukulele and in every class, children can choose and play a variety of age-appropriate musical instruments such as the drums, xylophones, bells and shakers.
We also use pre-recorded compositions and original development songs to immerse the children in a variety of musical contexts, exploring a range of rhythms, beats and sounds. Our aim is to nurture and cultivate the existing musical attributes that all children have, planning our sessions to encourage hearing and listening, speech and language, movement and dance and learning through play and exploration.
Music is present in all areas of early learning and development so each session is designed around a theme with clear, age-appropriate learning objectives. Class themes include topics such as vehicles and transport, animals, teddy bears and dinosaurs and we enhance our themes further through the use of toys, puppets and story books, making the experiences more meaningful for every child.
Classes have a consistent routine and structure so that the children gain familiarity and confidence through regular attendance. In every session, your child will be given opportunities to develop sharing and turn-taking skills with other children, to listen and respond to simple instructions and to develop their fine and gross motor skills. Ultimately, these classes take a holistic approach to your child’s early development and music provides the foundation from which to do this in an effective and fun way.
